Good Bye Vegas |
For Labor Day weekend, Kyle and I flew out to Vegas to spend the weekend. We landed late Friday night and met you with our friends Tom, Fran, Ben, and Jennifer. After hanging for bit, we called it a night. Saturday morning, I went to the spa with Jennifer. We got massages and hung out in the spa area afterwards to enjoy the pools, artic room, steam room, and sauna. Saturday evening, we had dinner at New York New York at a steakhouse and then went to see the show Zumanity. Dinner was delish and the show was so fun! Sunday morning, I went solo in a helicopter to tour the Grand Canyon. I was a little nervous at first, but as soon as we lifted off...I was at ease. We flew over the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and Colorado River. Then we landed inside the canyon where we spent about 30 mins taking pictures and had a glass of champagne and some snacks. I can't even begin to describe this experience...it was truly breathtaking and seemed unreal. I would totally do this tour again at the sunset hour. After my tour, Kyle and I went to Walburger for a late lunch. That night we went to the Top of the World for dinner. It was such a cool experience. While dining, the room slowly rotated giving us a complete view of all of Vegas. We even saw people bungee jumping from the floor above us and they descended down...it was crazy! Monday morning we headed back home and spent the rest of the day with the kids. It was a weekend away that we needed. The school year started out so crazy busy, that this trip made for the perfect time to leave TN to relax.
