Yep! It was that kind of weekend...
My sister and nephew came to town Thursday to spend the weekend. So we all went out to dinner on Thursday and spent time together. Friday, we headed to TPAC to see Phantom of the Opera. Phantom is my ALL TIME FAVORITE Broadway show. And, this performance was just as amazing as the previous performances I have seen. I just can't even describe how wonderful this opera is...simply beautiful beyond words. Then Saturday was the 32nd Annual Candlelight Ball. This is one of my fav events during the year. This was the first year I did not serve on the committee. As last year's chair, I had a hard time relaxing and enjoying the evening. This year, I was able to sit back, dance, and fully enjoy it. We had a blast! From pre partying, to to the event, and then post-partying, it was a perfect day spent with Kyle and friends. Sunday, we headed home to go to APSU's Selection Show party (APSU is a 16 seed and will play Kansas in Des Moines). Again, another fun event. Big thanks to Mimi and Papa for keeping the kids overnight on Saturday so we could fully enjoy ourselves. Although I am exhausted right now, there is nothing about this weekend I would change!
