DNOW Tired...LOL!

Our group of girls and leaders

DNOW Exhausted!

Yesterday at 5 PM...Still bright outside and it was 65 degrees...I sat on the front porch and soaked it in...winter is hard on me...I am solar powered and see warmth and sunshine...bring on SPRING and SUMMER!!!!

This past weekend we were a host home for DNOW.  This was our 6th year to host, and each year we have hosted Kathryn's group.  Some of these girls have come to our home for the last 6 years...it is truly a special time.  I love these girls so much.  They are the sweetest group!  We also have the best leaders.  DNOW is an amazing weekend, and I love seeing God work in the hearts of my kids and kids all over our city.  We are blessed to be a host home and get to be a small part of it all.  Each year for our Saturday night dinner, we go to Mexican.  Each year is someone's bday...LOL...this year we got Kyle.  It was pretty funny!  This was also the first year Kaden could attend (6th grade and Up).  He was pumped!  He had an awesome weekend at his host home and with his leaders.  He came home beyond tired.  God is so good!!!!  Thankful and blessed beyond measure!!!!!

Snow Days!!!

A Snow Day Breakfast!

Fireplace on...it was COLD!  Wind Chill below 0!

Heading out to Sled at APSU

Sledding at APSU...we went from flooding and temps in the 60s to 3-4 inches of snow and a wind chill below 0...all within a week!  Check out the flooded APSU Baseball field in the back ground.

Snow Day naps!

We watched the original Foot Loose, and we also watched the original Can't Buy Me Love...Kathryn LOVED both of them!  Kaden liked them too!

We ended up with 3-4 inches of snow...School was canceled for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday...it was a much needed break!!!!  We loved being home, sledding, having a big breakfast each morning, reading, relaxing, sleeping in, playing monopoly, and being lazy.  These are the best days!!!
