Basketball, Relaxing, and Sunday Lunch with my Best Boy

I always have someone near me...

He is a little needy

Reading buddy!

Our fav Sunday lunch spot...just us yesterday

The weekend was good!  Friday night, we had ZERO plans...it was epic.  After dinner, I took a bath and then read until I fell asleep.  Saturday we were up early for Kaden's first basketball game of the Hilldale Hoops season.  His team didn't win, but Kaden had a good game...he had a couple of rebounds and scored 13 points (his team scored 26 points total...so he scored half).  We were really proud of his effort!  And, he is on a team with his school best friend Owen...it is going to be a fun season!  After bball, Kathryn and I spent some time together running errands and shopping.  Once home, we relaxed!  Sunday after church and Publix, Kaden and I enjoyed a lunch at Miss Lucilles Cafe...just the two of us, and we had an awesome time together!!!!  It was a weekend with family, and it was just what I needed!!!

A much needed 3 day weekend

This past weekend was a great one...we had very few plans...and it was glorious!  Friday night Kyle and I had an event to attend and then grabbed dinner at Yada.  Kathryn went to a basketball game, and Kaden stayed home.  Saturday, I spent the day cooking...breakfast was eggs, toast, bacon, and sauteed spinach...lunch was made from scratch tomato basil soup and grilled cheeses...dinner with lemon caper chicken with asparagus and baked potatoes....good eating all day long!  Sunday we woke up to SNOW!  After church we came home, watched football, and relaxed.  Monday was MLK day, so we were out of school.  We spent the day running errands and took Kaden to the jump place.  Kathryn went to church to do a Bible study and hang.  I ended the day with a massage.  This weekend was much needed because things are about to get busy with Basketball for Kaden and Tennis for Kathryn.

Real Life Sango Church's Grand Opening!

What a special day!  Real Life held their Grand Opening this past Sunday.  We love our church and are so thankful to have a forever home!!!  Kyle has served our church on the Financial Advisory Board as well as helped with getting the church financing for the building.  God is Good!!!

About last night...Self care is not selfish...I didn't realize how much I needed that massage!

Snow Day in Tennessee!

Our first full week back to school...and we scored some snow canceling school last Friday!  And, we were all thankful!  I fixed breakfast for everyone, we watched the snow fall all morning.  Winston went down the street (without my permission...LOL) to play with his friend.  The mom sent me a pic (above).  And after lunch, we all went out to play in the snow.  We went sledding, made snow angels, had a snow ball fight, made a mini snowman, and had a blast!  We came in for dinner and relaxed watching Boss Baby.  Kathryn made the day complete by baking delicious chocolate chip cookies.  On Saturday, Kathryn was over the snow, but Kaden wanted to sled some more.  We took him to APSU Emerald Hills for some serious sledding...the hills are HUGE!  He had so much fun!  The rest of the day we relaxed, watched movies, and I read.  Snowy days are the best for reading and snuggling!!!!!
